This sucks. US buyers can only get it from amazon. I’d rather get it from the android market, but will it still be on sale for dollar when it launches on the android market in the US? I had such high hopes. This is disappointing.

Download this game to my Droid x2. I am unable to play the game. The app force closes when i push the play button. Why?

I posted this on the previous blog post but I have a transformer and it downloaded and installed fine and then when I tried to play the game the hud was fine but the “field” of play went black. To fix this just do a quick “pinch zoom” on the screen and it will show up. I know other tablet users are having the same issue but I can only confirm this works on the asus TF. The only other issue I have is the text is unreadable in the leaderboards and some of the menu screen text. Other than that a fantastic tower defense game that I am looking forward to get more time with. Thanks for all the updates over the past week Alec.

In the US its not available in the android market, only on Amazon. This is incredibly disappointing. Plus, they keep deleting my comments.

It seems that in android market it’s flaged “incompatible” with samsung galaxy s i9000. It’s really incompatible with that phone or just mistake?
Bought on launch, the installation failed, tried to redownload but can’t find it now. Samsung galaxy s 2. The galaxy s 2 doesn’t have the size restriction…

I bought the game but it doesnt download. It says authorizing purchase and the download tries to begin and then suddenly it stops. The tech support guys at the market told me to do a factory reset! Isnt there some other way to get the apk?
Downloaded it for my Asus Eee Transformer from Amazon Appstore and it seems to be fine when testing it, but wanted to get it from Android Market to keep all my Android purchases together in one place but is is flagged as incompatible there so I cannot buy it.
I say works fine, it does after pinch zooming the black screen to make the playfield re-appear – not a big hassle. Everything that @Zombie1286 says basically

Yes. Fieldrunners is truly the best tower defense game in history!!! I love it! BUT, when are we going to get more games? I have worn out my ipad with the existing ones, but I need more! WHEN?

Age of Zombies, from Halfbrick, is an example of an app that was Froyo and above compatible only in launch, and then became Donut and above compatible after a few weeks.
This game is amazing. I actually came here hoping to find the other games that were made by this company, so that I could buy them.

Not available in Market (UK) on device. But found it today by PC. This stinks! I would have bought it at the special price but now……

@John @Fadell the game does not currently support the Samsung Galaxy S or Tab 7 due to memory cache issues caused by Froyo. We’ve got a fix lined up and are testing it now. We should be able to go live with it sometime soon.
@Stephen if by complaining you mean that those of us who “still”cant get this program on our phones even though they are compatible? If by complaining you mean those of us who were “not” able to get the free/discounted copy because of the above issue ?
,then even Alec would say that the “complaining” is justified.

it’s not running *great* but we played a few other games in 2.1 and it’s definitely comparable to how they run.

I have HTC Desire S on three network UK but I am unable to find on the market
Hey, I love this game – but I just upgraded to the bionic and moved all the same apps that were working properly on my droidx over. I can play the game, but when I get to the part where it says enter your name it just freezes. I can quit and come back in and then resume game – but still locked up like it is not invoking the keyboard. Help???

I cant buy this game from the android market because it says that my Samsung i9000 is not compatible but on the amazon app store it is! I cant buy from amazon app store… =( can u make the game compatible in android market???
Hi Cahlborn, we’re planning on opening up support for Gal S1 devices soon, but it will still only work on Gingerbread devices due to Froyo’s download cap of 30mb.
Can’t download, says not compatible at website and can’t find it at market.

@tectas – For some reason, a few Desire S owners are reporting that they can’t find the game on the marketplace. Unfortunately, there isn’t an easy fix for this – we’ve currently got all devices (including the Desire S) marked as compatible and we aren’t sure why the market would be saying otherwise. I’ll ping Google and see if they have any advice about how to fix this. Thanks for your patience
